The company is a full service domestic courier, airfreight and international distribution business, exporting to over 200 countries.

The Challenge

• Finding a Canadian partner to receive consolidated courier line hauls into Canada from the company’s UK hub and deliver and track each package to the door, anywhere in Canada.

The Solution

The company used eShipper’s online platform to create shipments going to Canada from the UK.  They were able to consolidate all their Canadian shipments and ship them to eShipper’s hub in Toronto for customs clearance. Once cleared, the shipments were automatically shipped to their individual destinations within Canada with full visibility and tracking.

The Results

Utilizing eShipper’s customs clearance and delivery service into Canada, Courier IT is able to save substantially by consolidating multiple shipments into one and then having them injected into the domestic Canadian courier stream. Benefitting from eShipper’s highly discounted wholesale shipping rates, Courier IT estimates they can save as much as 50% on their shipping costs as opposed to shipping direct with other carriers from the UK. Taking advantage of eShipper’s electronic manifesting saves Courier IT’s employees at least 10 hours per week in having to re-enter waybills to process shipments into the eShipper system. Timely customs clearances by eShipper allows Courier IT to honour their time sensitive delivery deadlines they offer to their customers.
